At City Church we desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in Gainesville – to express God’s love for people in a tangible way. Just as Jesus’ ministry included meeting the physical needs of those He came in contact with, we desire to do the same.
We are compelled to love and care for the disenfranchised in our society – to love and serve and minister to those in need, without expecting anything in return. We don’t desire to “reinvent the wheel.”
There are a number of service organizations and ministries in Gainesville that are currently doing what we just described above. We want to be able to come alongside these organizations and help share the load.

Street Outreach

Our Street Outreach team currently serves a meal twice a week in front of City Hall to care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness relationally and physically. Additionally, our staff is available during the week to provide snacks and discuss further needs for those experiencing homessness. To give a food item or sign up to serve, you can use this sheet. |
Mentoring

Art Walk

At City Church, we believe it is important to support local artists. Art Walk is a local event that happens at different venues across Gainesville featuring local and regional artists' work. City Church partners with Art Walk to serve as a venue for artists and displays their work in our space. Art Walk happens the last Friday of the month. City Church seeks to serve as a venue multiple times per year. |
