Questioning Christianity
Every Wednesday until March 21, 2023
6:30pm – 8:30pm
Location: 19 SW 1st Street, Gainesville, Florida 32601
Questioning Christianity is an eight part series designed to explore common questions and topics surrounding Christianity. This is a space to learn about and discuss why Christianity is true by seeing how it most accurately provides for life’s biggest needs. We will be comparing it to other worldviews and philosophies; primarily secularism, the most prominent of our time.
Each session includes a meal, a lecture (from pastor and theologian, Timothy Keller), and a guided discussion. This series is for everyone: seekers or skeptics who are open to exploring the gospel, and Christians who want to grow in their beliefs and confidence in defending them. We encourage you to consider inviting a friend who may not be a Christian, someone new to the faith, or someone who wants to be more equipped to share their faith.
Sessions build on each other and will seek to answer the broader question, "Does Christianity make sense emotionally, culturally and intellectually?" Topics:
Faith and Proof
Meaning
Satisfaction
Identity
Morality
Justice
Hope
Q/A - Open Discussion
Attending as much of the series as possible is encouraged, but joining for select sessions is still welcomed. Email tyler@citychurchgnv.com for more details.
