Director of Worship and Creative Arts
Jay is a native of Atlanta, GA. He studied music at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA focusing on percussion, composition and music technology. Though Jay grew up in a church, it was not until college that God opened his eyes to the beauty of the gospel and he confessed his need for Christ. After college, Jay studied theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY earning his Masters in Divinity. Jay is married to his wife, Rachelle, and they have five children: Charlotte, Lilian, Moira, Adelaide, Alistair, and Griffin.
Jay has led worship in a variety churches and venues. His passion is to worship God in an authentic, real way and to lead others in doing the same. Jay loves gospel-centered community and seeing the church family join together around the gospel to sing of God’s grace, love and mercy found in salvation through Jesus Christ.
